Descripción

Collective work that examines the legal concept of Well‑being in European Union law from its main social environmental and health dimensions. Starting from article 3 of the Treaty on European Union it shows that Well‑being is a structural objective of the Union and not a sectoral phenomenon.

The book analyses its impact on national legal systems especially on Spanish law and on international law addressing issues such as the protection of persons with disabilities the rights of those working for national digital platforms and current challenges to democracy in several Member States. Legal scholarship and forensic practice are used to demonstrate the transforming power of Well‑being in the construction and application of European Union law.

This book offers:

  • Study of Well‑being as a legal objective in article 3 of the Treaty on European Union.
  • Analysis of the impact of Well‑being on Spanish law and on national legal systems.
  • Examination of Well‑being in relation to disability platform work and democratic challenges in the European Union.
